Join us at the Documentary Photo Centre on Saturday, November 2, at 4 PM for an exclusive English-language tour of the ‘Photo Contact’ exhibition led by renowned Hollywood cinematographer and photographer Alar Kivilo. Curators Kristel Aimee Laur and Toomas Järvet will accompany Alar, and together, they will provide insights into the exhibition’s concept, discuss selected works, and share stories from Alar’s dual career in cinematography and photography.
Admission requires an exhibition ticket, which can be purchased in advance. Museum card holders can reserve a free ticket using the campaign code ‘Muuseumikaart’ at checkout and must present the card at the event. Documentary Photo Centre club members are eligible for a limited number of complimentary tickets, details of which have been provided via email.
Alar Kivilo is a Hollywood cinematographer. His lenses have captured for screens names such as Keanu Reeves, Frank Sinatra, Jessica Lange, Colin Farrell, Jack Black, Kevin Bacon, Bruce Willis, Sandra Bullock, and many others.
Alar is also a photographer. Even when he’s not on set, he keeps his eyes open, hoping to catch anything interesting that surrounds him. From an early age, he became attracted to the beautiful environment that lies in the fractures of our everyday lives—city streets, walls, pavement. In all of them, he discovers mystical figures and vast landscapes. Immersing in fractures is like a pleasant painting trip for him.
